A very magical penetration of a chosen playing card (a pencil can be used instead of the cigarette).
The typical routine would be to have a card freely selected and signed across its face by a spectator. The card is turned face down and any cigarette (or similar object) is slowly and cleanly, pushed right through the card. The cigarette is removed and both the card and cigarette are handed to the spectator for examination.
