We regularly host magic lectures from visiting and local professional magicians in our venue nearby to our Magic Shop in the centre of London.

This is a great way to meet professional magicians and see magic performed and explained in a small and friendly environment. These lectures are great value and open only to MAGICIANs (amateurs welcome) but we also have a full magic course for newbies to learn how to do magic.
Marc Paul - Wednesday 8th February 2012
Our February lecture welcomes Marc Paul; mind-reader, psychological magician and corporate event speaker who has entertained and amazed audiences both in the UK and worldwide with his award winning mind-reading performances. Marc has been a professional entertainer for over 15 years and promises to share some of his closely guarded secrets with us include several routines which "pack small, but play big!"

Ray Kosby - Wednesday 18th January 2012
We are delighted to open our 2012 series of lectures with one of the world’s most creative close-up magicians, Ray Kosby. His original and often offbeat effects and methods are both stunning and baffling. Just one of the routines, for which Ray is probably best known, is ‘Raise Rise’. This is a visual ambitious card sequence where the signed card is placed in at the bottom of the deck, but left protruding out - it jumps to the middle and then to the top of the deck. An amazing version of the classic effect.
The skill level of the lecture ranges from intermediate to advanced and contains both card and coin routines.

John Archer - 27th September 2011
John Archer, "The man who fooled Penn & Teller" will be with us to lecture in September! John is one of Britains best stand up comedy magicians, certainly the best one in his house (!) and was The Magic Circle's Stage Magician of the Year 2008/9. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his lecture. The content will be a mixture of material from his two DVD's "Educating Archer" and "Further Education" covering mostly stand up comedy routines with a mentalist slant. All material is relatively easy and practical.

Tyler Erickson - 14th July 2011
At the moment, his name is only known to a small group of magicians but those who know him have only praised him for his magic and abilities as a teacher. His contributions have been described as a paradigm shifting.Within this lecture, new sleights will be taught, as well as cool tricks with bottles, matches, hex nuts and (of course) cards. Some are easy, others are not, but regardless, the goal is to present you with a new way of thinking about sleight of hand, and magic in general.
Tyler is known to be secretive and doesn’t have videos on youtube and other such sites. He has an old-school mindset and prefers to be seen live. David Stone - 23rd June 2011
We have a super treat for you on 23rd June. Our next lecturer is ‘David Stone’ from France. David is a FISM prize winner (among other awards) and even his recent DVD Lecture "Real Secrets of Magic" claimed an award for the trailer. The lecture will take you through what it takes to be a professional magician. Table-hopping or restaurant magic have nothing to do with the kind of close-up magic you might perform for your friends: The professional magician has to entertain people who are not expecting him.David is not in London very often and this is an excellent opportunity to see him close up and close to home. Terry has in magic for over 50 years and, although more knowledgeable and skilled than many professionals, has chosen to enjoy magic as his hobby rather than living. Terry has much to share, he believes in keeping magic simple and uncomplicated and in doing so has developed powerful practical routines.
