The Rules: |

| 1. | All competitors must be fully registered for the Convention. Acts will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. | ||
| 2. | There will be one performance only for each competitor | ||
| 3. | The running order of competitors will be drawn at random. | ||
| 4. | Competitors should arrive at least 30 minutes before their estimated performance time and contact convention stewards upon arrival. | ||
| 5. | The perforamance will be recorded by International Magic and released on DVD/Video as part of the exclusive International Magic Competition range. | ||
| 6. | For the first time in 2009, a time limit of 12 minutes has been introduced to the competition. Competitors have been informed and agree to comply with this limited. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. | ||
| 7. | Admittance as a competitor is by prior arrangement with International Magic only. | ||
| 8. | No smoke, fire or pyrotechnic effects may be used in performances without prior arrangement and consent from International Magic. | ||
| 9. | Any special setting requirements (tables, chairs etc) must be requested promptly upon checking with withthe organising staff. | ||
| 10. | The judges' decision will be final and results will be announced on Sunday afternoon. | ||

The competition has been recorded for sale since 1986 and is available for purchase on DVD (click here for more details). The competition is judged by an international panel of experts in magic who are all very experienced in judging international competitions.
